MV DUIVENDRECHT
MV Duivendrecht [approaching dock]
Friday, March 7, 1968
CVA 447-4326
Pictured being assisted by a Cates tugboat as she arrives in Vancouver, the van Ommeren bulk carrier Duivendrecht would take on a load of Northern wheat destined for China.
For the four years that van Ommeren was contracted in the late 1970’s, the 24,600-ton Duivendrecht would also call late each summer at Deception Bay, QC to load asbestos concentrate for transport across the Atlantic to Germany.
