With two Bell 47 helicopters on the flight deck at her stern, HMCS Labrador is pictured at Vancouver’s CPR Pier B-C shortly after becoming the first warship to negotiate the Northwest Passage.

Alongside is the St. Roch re-rigged as a ketch. Having just arrived from Halifax via the Panama Canal, she is about to be retired from government service before taking her place at the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
